Countryfile features Community Pubs

We were thrilled to see our advisors The Plunkett Foundation be part of a fantastic 13-minute piece about community-owned businesses in Devon, featuring villagers at Loddiswell looking to buy their pub and the established shop and café at Parracombe.

Plunkett UK's Chief Executive, James Alcock, was interviewed by presenter, Datshiane Navanayagam, and said, "We often talk about a community-owned business being 'more than'. It will host a wide range of additional services and clubs and amenities and it will bring the whole community together. It is very resilient with a five-year survival rate of 99% and a 20-plus survival rate of 92%."

The feature starts at 20:32.
